Alter the situation by considering these options:
If you are angry or embarrassed or just plain stressed out, learn to express those feelings. If you tell a trusted friend how you are feeling, it often has the effect of reducing the emotion.
Work towards compromise in conflicts. Don’t always be intent on getting your way, because quite often, the other way is also a good option.
Be assertive and acknowledge conflicts when they arise. We all know from experience that conflicts don’t usually just “go away” if we ignore them.
Learn to manage your time better to help you keep your level of frustration down. If you know it takes you 15 minutes to get to work, leave 25 minutes early so you aren’t stressed the whole drive in.
