Acceptance is the key –
When we can’t change an unfortunate, or even a tragic situation, sometimes the only thing we can do is allow ourselves to simply accept it.
Ask yourself what you can learn from the situation. As the old saying goes “that which does not kill us makes us stronger.”
Share your feelings – especially by seeking out someone who has been through the situation in the past and has recovered. See if they have any pointers for you.
Learn to forgive – remember we are all imperfect people, trying to do our best. More often than we wish, we all fall short of our goals.
